Privacy Policy

Aina ("we", "us") is an emotional-intelligence and career-coaching app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address, used to create and secure your account.
• Conversations: the messages you type or dictate to the coach, and the insights we derive from them (people you mention, situations you're navigating, and recurring patterns), so the coaching stays personal and consistent over time.
• Voice: when you use voice dictation or "read aloud", audio is sent to our speech provider to convert between speech and text. We do not store your voice recordings.
• We do not collect your location or contacts, we use no advertising identifiers, and we show no ads.

How we use your information

Solely to operate Aina — to generate coaching replies, remember relevant context between sessions, and transcribe or read messages aloud. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers who process your data

We use trusted third parties that process data on our behalf to run the app:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication (stores your account and conversations).
• Anthropic (via the TrueFoundry gateway) — generates coaching responses from your messages.
• Sarvam AI — speech-to-text (dictation) and text-to-speech (read aloud).
• Google Cloud — application hosting and processing.

These providers handle your data under their own security and privacy terms and only to provide the service.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Database access is restricted on a per-user basis (row-level security), and our servers verify every request.

Aina is not end-to-end encrypted. Because the coach reads your messages to respond and to remember relevant context, your conversations are processed in readable form by our systems and the service providers listed above. They are never read by a human for any purpose other than resolving a support request you raise, and are never used to train AI models.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data until you delete your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (settings gear → "Delete my account"), or by emailing aina.tellsupport@gmail.com. Deletion is permanent.

Children

Aina is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
